Brand Identity / Packaging
The company uses advanced technologies to extract salt essence from The Salinas Grandes, a salt lake in Argentina. The essence can polish and hydrate the skin by strengthening its barrier function. I designed the visual identity, packaging and website for OVA's initial line of products.
OVA's products provide an instant polish and plumping effect, returning the skin's natural brilliance. OVA's visual direction is a celebration of the naked skin and individuality. The identity is created in an organic style which is reflective of the company's organic approach. "Argentina" is set in a clean modern typeface to create visual contrast. The identity can used both horizontally and vertically for more versatile use. The color palette is inspired by light reflecting through salt crystals. It also represents the wide variety of skin colors. The pattern is inspired by the unique shapes of salt crystals.
The identity concept is carried through in the bold typeface. All capital letters have been re-drawn to echo the organic shape of the identity. In order to give the right amount of uniqueness without over doing it, and also reinforce the identity in different applications.
